The NEET eligibility criteria states that students who have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology along with English even as additional subjects from recognised boards and Mathematics/ other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English are eligible for NEET exam.

For the JEE Main exam, focus on high-weightage topics:
- Physics (Modern Physics, Current Electricity, Electrostatics, Thermodynamics, Magnetism)
- Chemistry (Coordination Compounds, General Organic Chemistry, Chemical Bonding, Atomic Structure, p-Block)

IIT Madras offers good placements to MSc students. The average and median package recorded during MSc Physics placements 2025 was 12.5 LPA and 12 LPA.

You certainly are eligible for many of the M.Sc. Physics programs available in India. But the eligibility is subject to the institution and channel itself. Please go through the eligibility criteria of whatever channels and institutions you're looking into. If you're not aware by yourself, you may check out IIT-JAM, GATE, JEST, TIFR, and so on.

As you might be aware, when you take an improvement exam, the best score out of the two is considered. So if you didn't take the Physics exam for whatever reason, you'll be marked absent and thus receiving no new marks. Therefore your better marks, the previous score, will be considered as final. Meanwhile for the other two subjects, whatever remains the best score will be considered, be it the new or the old marks.

The highest and median package recorded during MNIT Jaipur MSc Physics placements 2025 was 6 LPA and 5 LPA. 24 students registered and 9 students were placed in 2025.

Physics is one of the high scoring subjects in KCET. Covering KCET in 60 days is not a daunting task. Focus on high-weightage topics like Thermodynamics and Optics, and complete at least one full revision in 16 days.

St. Xavier's College Ranchi offers a range of UG level courses BA being the popular one. General criteria for BA Physics is a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in
Class 12 Science or equivalent. For BA Physics Hons at least 50% marks in Physics and 45% marks in Mathematics in Class 12 or equivalent examination.
