You have to take the IELTS or TOEFL to meet the English language requirements. You must have passed your 10+2 with very good scores particularly in maths and Science. To become a pilot, you have to clear standard 12th with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects with minimum 50 percent marks. Being a pilot requires a lot of specialised technical training at various levels. In brief, the first level is that of a Student Pilot License (SPL), which allows the student to learn. After getting some training the student is provided with a Private Pilot License (PPL), which will allow you to captain an aircraft without passengers. You have to do both in order to become a good pilot. If you are planning to take Commercial Pilot as a career option then B.Sc Aviation may not directly benefit you except that you will have graduation degree and in long run based on your graduation degree, you can do MBA or any other PG degree.

The course is focused on both theory and practical. Theory consists of airline and aviation basics, aviation rules, navigation system, structure and troubleshooting of various air crafts, etc. There will be minimum 1000 hours practical fly training in various air crafts.

Airline flying has the highest salary and most amount of benefits. Many fresher does not wants to go to this side so the crowd is less. But you have to be trained enough to get handsome salary here. Some of these are corporate aviation (flying company airplanes), agricultural flying (crop dusting), and you could fly full time in the military. Regional (or commuter) airlines also employ pilots, although the pay scales and working conditions are not like the major airlines.
