Most of the students will go for MS or MBA or end up doing job in TCS\Infy\Accenture or some other similar company.
Not sure if scenraio has changed in last few years. (seems unlikely)

Production Engineering is a very great department and its out from the department of mechanical engineering that is why it's fantastic.
It's opportunities are great in India as well as abroad.
So, if you want to do it, then just do it from any good engineering college .
