Both are different and both have different scope. So, you can't compare as such. But, if you want to learn anyone from these then I would suggest you to go for Hadoop as it has much high scope in future.

There is no need of certification if you can prove your knowledge to someone who is looking for the Java professional. But getting certifications only proves that you went through the learning and given tests to get your learnings examined.
So in the end only matters is whether you have knowledge or not. That's it.

Hi Rohit,
As a programmer, you will be expected to be proficient in at least one language like Java or C+. However, you can always switch to other language that excites you intellectually keeping in mind that PHP, Python and Ruby are also very much exciting and useful in some situations of software development. The skills required as:
