Some of the roles that I can think ( to begin with )of for IT sector are:
Developer, testing engineer, network engineer, hardware engineer, system analyst, web developer, web designer, Tech support, quality teams, DBA. On the other hand there are people who have their careers in business analysis, or as a technical trainer, business development specialist. Upon a couple of years of experience, you could change your role, or move onto leader position in the same ladder too.

Preferably I'll tell you to learn C. C is also there in WBUT UG engineering syllabus for first year, so learning C in advance will help you to cope up with classes. Also while other will struggle learning C, you may learn advance C or other languages like C+ and Python.
C+ is a subset of C, so it'll be really easy to learn C+ after leading C. In job interviews, they preferably ask questions from your basic knowledge of C. So learning C in depth is always welcome.

It is not mandatory to learn programming languages before joining engineering. But it will definitely help you if you learn them before joining the course. I will suggest you to learn C and C+. As you go further in your course you will learn other languages. Hope this will help you. You can ask if you have any queries in comments.

Programming does not depend on maths, it totally depends on your logic.
If you have logic, then you can survive in this field. In programming, you have to go for IT Sector and CPP programming. Best of luck for your future. If there's any query, feel free to ask.
