The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) is accorded Autonomous status by VTU, Belagavi and UGC, New Delhi in the year 2007. The state of the art Physical infrastructure has been established in order to promote a congenial academic environment to impart quality education. The curriculum help the students to gain the knowledge and skills in the areas of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Functional areas of management, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management and Quantitative Models for decision making apart from basic engineering knowledge and skills with emphasis on overall personality development. Apart from this, the students develop systems thinking abilities to handle complex problem-solving situations by undergoing variour Techno-Managerial activities and mould themselves as a generalist engineer who can serve in various sectors such as Manufacturing, Service and Research organizations. For IEM branch fees is 8lacs. Being a private college RV has good placements. It comes next to BITS in terms of placements in private colleges. The highest package for IEM in 9lacs and avg is 4 lacs.
