RV college of engineering is the rank one college of karnataka. There is a huge competition to get into this college from all over INDIA as well as different parts of the world. Coming to your question there are two ways for you:-
COMEDK- This is the merit based entrance exam for the 30% of the total seats. This is an online exam which has multiple choice answer. If you get top rank in Comedk then you may get a seat here.

Thanks to the reservation system, it depends on your caste. If you're from SC/ST, a rank of somewhere around 200 would be enough. If you belong to the OBC categories then a rank of around 100150 would do. Here comes the big one!
If you're from general category, you need to have a rank of around 25! Yes it's 25 only. Speaking of other branches, you can just take twice the ranks I mentioned. Visit for details: http://www.btechadmission.co.in/.

From the above tables, we can suppose that KCET which see a number of applicants higher than that of COMEDK, but yet latter has a similar cut off as KCET but for less number of candidates. Although one can't exactly tell what should be your rank to be able to get a seat in RV college of engineering as the last year cutoffs can't exactly predict your chances as the cutoffs are based on so many factors so it isn't ever constant.
