IBPS RRB exam pattern is different for different posts. IBPS RRB Officers Scale 1 comprises Mains exam, prelims exam and interview. IBPS RRB Clerk exam pattern comprises prelims exam and Mains exam. IBPS RRB Officers Scale 2 and 3 exam pattern is such that it comprises single online exam and interview.

IBPS RRB exam pattern for Officers Scale II and III comprises single online exam and interview. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 80. The mains exam carries 200 marks. IBPS RRB Clerk exam pattern is divided into prelims and Mains exams. The prelims exam carries 80 marks. The Mains exam carries 200 marks. There are negative markings in both prelims and Mains exams. For the wrong answer, 1/4 of the marks assigned to that question are deducted as penalty. The structure of IBPS RRB Clerk exam pattern is given below.

The Interview is conducted for Officers Scale I, II, and III. Candidates for Interviews are selected based on their performance in the Mains exam. The interview is co-ordinated by nodal Regional Rural banks with the help of NABARD. The interview is conducted at the selected exam centres. The marks allotted to the interview are 100. Candidates need to qualify the interview by securing the qualifying marks as decided by the examination authority.

Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all those who appear for the examination. The marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each shift of examinees. The percentile score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained. The percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular percentile in that examination. RRB Group D exam pattern for CBT comprises objective-type multiple choice questions from General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs. Candidates need to solve the paper within 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied by the scribe). Total marks allotted to the paper are 100.
