Currently, Engineering ETs in NTPC are hired through GATE results followed by a combination of aptitude/behavioral tests, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. In other areas, trainees are hired through All-India selection tests followed by Group Discussion and Interview

No, both are different exams conducted by separate organisations. The full form of RRB NTPC is Railway Recruitment Board Non-Technical Popular Categories exam conducted for recruitment of Commercial Apprentice, Goods guard, Traffic Apprentice, Traffic Assistant, Assistant Station Master, etc. NTPC stands for National Thermal Power Corporation Limited.

Normalisation of marks are done to adjust the difficulty level of the question papers. The normalisation formula is given below:

 Xn= (S2/S1) (X-Xav) + Yav Where, Xn= Normalized Score of a Candidate. S2= Standard Deviation of raw marks of Base Session. S1= Standard Deviation of raw marks of Candidate Session.
