DSU is a great university and offers a wide variety of courses to students across streams. Students at the university has scored good placement offers in the past. The highest package offered for MBA in 2023 was INR 9 LPA. In the previous year 2022, the highest international package of the university was INR 27 LPA. More than 158 companies visited the university during the placement drive with 768 job offers.

DSU is a state university, established in 2014 under the Act of the Karnataka State. Since the very beginning, the university is offering quality higher education to the students and offering them good placements. The university has been awarded and ranked many times for its excellent performance in the industry. Some of the latest rankings and awards are 10th in the National Category, and 4th in State and South Zone by IIRF-2022 and has also been rated A+ category in the B-School Survey 2021 by Siliconindia.

MCOPS is considered to be the better option. MCOPS consistently ranks highly, has a renowned faculty, and a solid academic reputation. greater variety of B.Pharm specialisations available in contrast to DSI. Though they still provide projects and collaborations, the DSI offers less research options than MCOPS.
