International students at St Louis University are not eligible for federal student loans or grants. However, the university considers students attending the St Louis campus for merit scholarships with their applications submitted for admission. It offers undergraduate scholarships that recognize service involvement, academic accomplishment, and leadership capability. Some of the undergraduate competitive scholarships that are offered to international students are the Presidential Scholarship and Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship.

Saint Louis University requires international students to demonstrate their proficiency in the English language. For this, they can submit the IELTS score. The minimum IELTS score required to gain admission to undergraduate and graduate courses is 6.5. However, there are other English language test scores that international students can submit as proof of proficiency in the English language such as; TOEFL, PTE and Duolingo.

There is no application fee to apply for undergraduate courses at the university. Saint Louis University application fee for undergraduate admission has been waived. This will allow students who may have a limited budget to apply for admission regardless of their financial situation. However, the application fee to apply for graduate courses is USD 65/INR 5,415.

With a GPA of 3.9, St Louis University requires its students to be at the top of their class. They would need nearly straight A's in all their classes to compete with other applicants. Students are required to submit their high school transcripts, a standardized test score (if applicable), English language proficiency score, letters of recommendation, etc. in order to be considered for admission.
