As mentioned on the IIM Bangalore website, the fee for Post Graduate Programme in Management (popularly known as MBA) consists of Tuition, Library, Internet, Case Permission Royalty, Course Material, Hostel Room Rent and Service Charge, Medical Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance and Alumni Activity. Another clarification, the programme does not have specific specialisation as Marketing or Finance, it totally depends on you to choose the courses you like. Let me clear your doubt. BIBS is good for placements. If you compare it with any institute in Kolkata, you will see the difference. The marketing department is indeed very strong here because of the faculty and the companies who we have in our placement list. So, definitely, it's a good option to study marketing here. Rest is your hard work that will fetch you a good job.

It's very difficult to get a good MBA institute with this score. As you have work experience of 1-year, it's better to continue with your work. Keep trying for MBA entrance exams or distance MBA courses. You can also look for executive MBA for which you need to have at least 4 years of work experience. Colleges like Great lakes, SP Jain and ISB are good options. Known marketing colleges are SP Jain, MDI, MICA, NMIMS and SIBM (apart from IIMs).

Each college has there different campus for placement and it depends on you how you perform in your interview, your academic results and your skills. Basically, the package for marketing is near about rupees 6 lacs.

ICFAI is more famous for finance but if you don't have any better options, you can consider it for marketing as well. Though it doesn't feature in the top 30 schools consistently, it offers a decent return on investment over a 5 year period. Also, do try to be in the top 10 percent of your class as it will enable you to get better shortlists during placement.
