Yes, you get weight.
The application form does ask for work experience details but it is not mandatory. However, during the final selection of candidates, work experience is given some weightage by the Iims. The exact weightage given to work experience is never revealed by the Iims but it varies from IIM to IIM.

How do you know you are good in the marketing field? Have you worked previously? Marketing is a vast field and what is your strength- is it a market survey, product design, product management, pre-sales, branding, promotion, marketing design, public relation, digital planning, media buying, media planning or something like that? Well, it depends on the institute to institute. Some organisation offer single specialisation and some offers dual specialisation. You can opt maximum 2 specialisations.

If you want to opt MBA as your career then you should go for BBA field as it will cover your half basics of MBA.

There could be chance of happening of centralized placements.
MITSOT is an decent institute where they provide 5.5 lakhs per annum package.
You can also go for MITSOB as that is one of the better institute in finance but they provide dual specialization.
