Yes, the University of San Francisco allows all international students to work while studying. If the students are enrolled at USF on an F-1 or J-1 visa, they may work up to:

  • 20 hours per week while classes are in session;
  • 35 hours per week during academic breaks, summer session, and winter intersession;
  • 7.5 hours per day.

There are certain conditions listed below for international students to be eligible for student employment at USF. Each fall and spring semester, the students must be enrolled in at least:

  • 12 units, if they are an undergraduate student;
  • 6 units, if they are a graduate student;
  • 8 units, if they are a law student.

All the overseas students applying to the University of San Francisco must fulfill certain admission requirements in order to secure a spot in the university for their higher studies. These requirements comprise of:

At the University of San Francisco, if English is the candidate's native language or if the majority of their education has not been taught in English, they are required to submit a proof of their English proficiency as part of their application.
