To get admission into ISDI School of Design & Innovation Mumbai, candidates have to appear for the ISDI Challenge. The ISDI Challenge comprises: Design Aptitude Test (DAT),  Personal Interview and Portfolio Review

Students are selected for admission based on their combined performance in these components of the ISDI Challenge. There are no specific cut-off scores, but higher scores improve the chances of admission.

The Design Aptitude Test evaluates the candidate's:Creative ability,  Graphic skills,  Spatial visualization and Knowledge of design fundamentals

It contains questions from:Visual arts,  Design concepts,  General knowledge and Logical and analytical reasoning

The DAT is followed by a personal interview where candidates have to present and discuss their portfolio. This evaluates their design thinking process, creativity, communication skills and passion for design. There is no minimum scores disclosed for the ISDI Challenge. But in previous years, candidates with: DAT score above 75% and Good portfolio and Interview performance has secured admission.

Though ISDI does not disclose official cutoffs, based on previous years' data, scoring above 75-80% in the DAT along with good performance in the portfolio/project and interview increases your chances of admission significantly. Class 12 marks also matter for undergraduate programs.

Since you have scored 70% in the DAT, focus on preparing well for the:

• Portfolio/Design project round
• Personal interview

Eligible candidates are shortlisted based on their Class 12 score and called for the ISDI Challenge. Admission is granted based on performance in the ISDI Challenge and interview round.

ISDI admission is based on merit and an entrance exam called the ISDI Challenge. The ISDI Challenge consists of three parts:

1. Portfolio or Design Project
2. Design Aptitude Test (DAT)
3. Online Interview

Candidates are evaluated based on their performance in these three components. The weightages are:

• Portfolio/Design Project - 40%
• DAT - 30%
• Interview - 30%

• Merit-based Admission

  For undergraduate programs, admission is primarily based on merit in the qualifying exam (Class 12). Candidates with higher marks in Class 12 have a higher chance of admission.

  Candidates first need to fulfill the eligibility criteria:

  • Pass Class 12 from a recognised board.
  • Minimum 60% aggregate marks in Class 12.

  Eligible candidates are then called for the ISDI Challenge. After clearing the ISDI Challenge, admission is granted based on merit.

ISDI - School of Design and Innovation offers a 4-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme with specializations in Communication Design, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Product Design, etc. 

The Seat intake for B.Des at ISDI is approximately 600. 

The Total tuition fees for the 4- year B.Des programme is? 24.3L. Theminimum eligiblity for B.Des admission is passing the 10+2 examination from a recognised board.

Admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination and an aptitude test conducted by ISDI. ISDI offers specialised PG programs in Design and Innovation and fashion Business Management. The seat intake for PG programs is 30 seats.

The minimum cutoff for MBA at LISAA School of Design 2023 is estimated to be around 75% for general category students and 65% for reserved category students. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a valid score in CAT, GMAT, MAT, or ATMA to be eligible. The selection process consists of shortlisting, group discussion as well as personal interview. LISAA School of Design offers a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) in Interior Design and Business Management. This program is designed to provide specialist skills related to theoretical, policy, evaluative, and research aspects of interior design.
