The BS in Computer Science at Iowa State University prepares students for graduate study in Computer Science and for various businesses, industry, and government positions including Information Technologists, Computer Scientists, and Software Developers. Students must have high school education to take admissions in BS in CS at Iowa. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required from Indian applicants. Students who wish to enter ISU directly from high school must also meet the minimum high school requirements for admission as given below:

• 4 years of English language (Focus on Writing, Speaking, and Reading as well as an understanding and appreciation of Literature)
• 3 years of Mathematics (Including one year each of Algebra, Geometry, and Advanced Algebra)
• 3 years of Science (Including at least two years of courses that emphasize elements of Chemistry, Biology or Physics)
• 2 years of Social Studies

Indian students applying to the University of Waterloo Bachelor of Computer Science must fulfill the general as well program-specific requirements.

General Requirements Students must have a first or second division in any one of the following:

• All India Senior School Certificate granted by CBSE
• Indian School Certificate granted by CISCE
• Other pre-university certificate granted after 12 years of academic studies
• Students are evaluated for admission on the basis of Class 10 board examination results, final Class 11 grades, and predicted Grade 12 board results of the students’ school.

Program-Specific Requirements

• Class 12 Mathematics, minimum grade of 90% (Class 12 Applied Mathematics is not accepted)
• Class 12 English
• One other Class 12 course, minimum final grade of 90%
• All standard Class 12 courses, minimum final grade of 85%

Despite the Fluctuations the University of Scotland computer Science course remains reputable per the Complete University Guide ranking. Overall the university is a reputable institution with a strong computer Science program.
