Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science & Higher Education for Women is also known as Avinashilingam University. It is a women's institution in Coimbatore. It was established in 1988 by Avinashilingam Education Trust.

The students have to score more than 80 to 90 percent aggregate marks in the entrance exam to take admission.

The Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering and Diploma in Information Technology is a courses under State Council of Technical Education, Nagaland under the Directorate of Technical Education. The duration of the Course is 3 years. Admission to the course will be done during May/June every year.
