These are all informal and hence the student need to register online and also appear for an entrance exam conducted by this Institute before one can get admission. The basic eligibility criteria is the most minimal that is passing of 12th from J and K board of secondary Education or its equivalent across the country. This inherently is a government organisation. It's aim is of imparting skills which can be utilised by the students in either getting a job or becoming an entrepreneur. Hello Nishar Ahmed, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology at Srinagar grants admission for informal courses is based on an entrance exam that the institute conducts twice in a year. Merit in this examination will determine the admission. For formal courses, for which the certificate and degree is awarded by the University to which this Institute is attached, there is no entrance exam and the admissions are given based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. There is no mention of any cut off for getting admission in informal courses in various sources that I could lay my hands on.
