The World University Ranking of 71 Indian universities placed Patiala's Thapar School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (TSLAS) at fifth place in 2022. It was placed 29th in the Engineering Category by NIRF and 601–800 by The World University Ranking in 2020.
TIET Patiala, another name for Thapar institution, is a private institution. It has a "A+" accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Students from 7th sem become eligible for placements. Companies such as tata, tisco, tcs etc., come for placements and take the students in bulk. The highest package offered was INR 18 LPA and average is INR 5 lpa. Almost 75 to 80 percentage of students get placement.

The highest package of SGSITS is INR 44.5 LPA. Some of the notable recruiters of SGSITS Indore are Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Adobe, OPTUM, ZS, ACC Limited, Samsung, Microsoft, Asian Paints, Aditya Birla Group, etc. As per the recent placement report, 1179 job offers were made among which 493 students got placement opportunities with a CTC of more than INR 5 LPA. Yes, degree from G. B. Pant Universtiy of Agriculture and Technology, which is state funded university is of course valid.
