The UPCATET Exam centres are assigned based on the student's preference. When a student fills out the application form, they get to choose the examination centre close to where they reside.
The exam officials check out the availability of the exam centre and mostly assign the preferred exam centre to the exam takers.

There are a total of 200 MCQs in the UPCATET exam, so the total UPCATET score is 800 marks.
For each right answer, students get 4 marks, and for every wrong answer, they get minus one mark. The UPCATET exam is conducted in offline OMR mode.
