No a GATE score is optional. TS PGECET can be also used to secure admission to M.Tech at Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology and Research, Hyderabad. The candidates should have requirements of graduation. Both the two entrance tests are enough to apply.

Admission into M.Tech can be done using TS PGECET/GATE scores. After the declaration of results, apply to counselling and make Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology and Research, Hyderabad as a preference. The applicants are admitted in light of their scores, seats and eligibility. Verification of documents and submission of fees is necessary in order to give a final selection.

Candidates must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. They must also qualify for the TS EAMCET entrance exam conducted in Telangana. Final selection at Vignan Institute of Technology and Science is based on the EAMCET rank and counselling performance.

Yeah, you can get a degree in master's in food technology at Mumbai University. You have to appear for respective entrance exam conducted by Mumbai University or a national level examination. You should have completed your B.Sc or B.Tech in food technology. You have to participate in counselling process of university.
