Usually, BSc and BSc Honours are considered to be equally important academically. But a BSc Honours degree is slightly tougher than a BSc general, as it has a more in-depth approach towards specific subjects. An honours degree lasts up to 4 years and has more research components as compared to a normal BSc degree. An honours degree is advisable when you have a rigorous interest in one specific subject.

You don't really need to be a coding genius. But you should be open to learning some basic programming and statistics.
- You'll learn Python or R but only the parts needed for analysis.
- You'll learn basic statistics, probability and linear algebra—not PhD-level maths.
- If you're from commerce, arts, or management, don't worry! These concepts are taught from scratch in most good colleges.
But remember, Before joining, you can do a short online course on Python or Excel. It'll give you a head start and boost your confidence.
