YCMOU offers a PhD program in environmental science. Admission is based on the PhD entrance test and a interview. Applicant must hold  a master degree in a relevant field with at least 55% marks.The PET comprises two online paper :The first assesses general aptitude and research skill, while the second focus on subject specific knowledge. Applicant with valid UGC- NET, UGC-CSIR NET, SLET, GATE or hold an M. Phil. are exempt from the PET.The PET is typically conducted in October.

Selection to the Ph.D. in Biological Sciences at NISER is through fulfilling the education requirement and national exam performances, such as GATE, JEST, GPAT, CSIR NET, or ICMR JRF. These shortlisted candidates have to face a written test and/or interview.

To be eligible for the Ph.D. program, candidates need a Master's degree with 55% marks in related fields. Alternatively, a four-year Bachelor's degree with 75% marks can also be considered. Besides meeting the cut-off marks in the entrance exam, applicants must also score a minimum mark in each subject. Online applications are submitted via the NISER website.

No, there is no age restriction to apply for GAT-B 2025 exam. However, the applicants must meet the required educational qualifications as prescribed by the conducting authority - National Testing Agency.
