In India, admission to a Master of Science programme generally requires a completed undergraduate degree—with no active arrears—by the time of final enrolment. While many entrance tests (e.g., JAM, CUET PG) allow candidates to apply with pending backlogs or “result? awaited” status, universities and the UGC mandate that all arrears must be cleared before the start of the postgraduate course. UGC guidelines grant a two? year grace period beyond the scheduled duration of a bachelor's or master's programme to clear backlog papers, but admission cannot be confirmed until those backlogs are resolved.

No, Section 3, the General Aptitude Test (GAT), in CUET is not compulsory overall. However, it is often a requirement for specific undergraduate programs at many participating universities, especially top-ranked ones like Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Therefore, while not mandatory for all courses, it is highly recommended to prepare for and take the General Test, as it significantly enhances a candidate's chances of admission to many universities and programs.

Yes, admissions to MDSU are either merit based or entrance based. However, the university does not accept CUET to shortlist candidates to any of the UG or PG courses. Candidates can check the eligibility and selection criteria of the courses that are offered by the university to learn more about the entrance exams that are eaccepted to some of the courses.
