Hello! Yes, you are partially right, but an MBA from a top-ranked B-school will always remain valuable in the corporate world than one from an average college.

CAT is accepted by almost all the B-schools in India and most popular exam for MBA! CAT is harder to crack than MAT. Good luck!

Hello! Yes, it is the best way as all the Iims and some major non-Iims accept its scores for their admission processes. However, there are other exams too like XAT SNAP NMAT, CET, IIFT etc. Which can also get you similar top-ranked colleges. Good luck!
P. S. No reputed college gives direct admission.

No, it is not compulsory to join a coaching for any Exam! You can prepare yourself, just believe on you, make a goal, be dedicated and focus on each term!
But, if anyone helps you and guides you to reach the goal then it's not a bad idea! Coaching works as a coach in your life they give you the direction and In coaching you will meet new peoples and compete with them, This improves your skills!
Good Luck!

You should be able to deal with other management entrance tests if you are preparing for CAT. However, you need to check on the test components of different exams.
