Kolhapur, this is the place that is famous in Maharashtra for folk music, folk cinema, arts etc. Since ages. In fact in olden days, majority of Marathi Cinemas were produced here. This necessitated requirement of designers of sets, interior, clothing, textiles etc.
Hence, no wonder that Kalaprabodhini decided to have their institute of design in this city. The courses offered are affiliated to Shivaji University, and hence follow the expected pattern.
However, I am worried about the placements, since Kolhapur is not having a big industrial base. Also, the film studios have shifted out and hence corresponding requirement of designers of different hues is also reduced. Though, it must be accepted that the college is doing everything it can to enable students to get placed. Unfortunately, status or data of the latest years is not available on it's website. But, this could be a consideration for prospective students.

There is no practical relations between B.Tech in computer Science and B.Architecture. As you know that these two have no direct relations.
However, if you are asking for difficulty level, then I would say that B.Tech CS is more difficult than B.Arch. Actually, this is my personal bias. Some students may find B.Tech CS very easy. So, the difficulty level is all a relative term. Out of the given two options, which one is better, completely depends upon you and your future goals. If you want to make career in Computer Science, Information Technology, Hacking, or any computer (or IT) related stuffs, then B.Tech CS is the best option, wheares B.Arch will leads you somewhat in civil engineering fields. It is a good question from student's point of view.(#) Degree programme: These are much high valued then Diploma. Degree like B.Arch provides profundity about an architect course than Diploma. It has more opportunities as compared to Diploma. Degree is being issued through recognized university or college. The duration of obtaining the degree of architect is greater than the duration of Diploma.
(#) Diploma programme: Like Diploma in Designing, planning, architect etc. are a Diploma course. The admission to Diploma course can be taken after clearing high school examination (class 10th). An institute, a Polytechnic, or even a university can offer a Diploma course. There is no need for the institute or the university to be UGC or AICTE approved. Both programs /courses have their own utility and valuation. But, I would suggest you to degree course, since it is approved and certified by the institution. But, if you want your career to be more accelerated, then along with the degree course, you can pursue Diploma course.

There's no second thought before I write this. Of course, it has to be NID, as it's an institute of national importance. AAFT, on the other hand is a private institute and is known for B.Des as well. NID is best known for design courses, and you will have ample of opportunities after passing out from there. Coming to it's placements, several graduates tend to start their own studio. According to LinkedIn, 377 out of 3500 graduates are Entrepreneurs (Nowhere close to the 60% stat by Sumit Shah, but I hope he can give some source). Popular companies (based on no. Of NIDians employed) are Cognizant, Microsoft, SAP, Adobe, Samsung, Godrej, HFI etc.
All your main/subject questions lead to one destination that is how much money you can earn after graduating from NID. If that is the only concern you have, then start your own business to earn. NID won't teach you how to earn money. You have to use your 100% brains, if you have to be on the top. How NID can help you to put you in good companies? It also depends on the stream you apply for. \
Now look at another scenario. Let's say you love textile design, and you want to apply for Textile/Apparel design at NID, right. What if I tell you that go for some of the UX related courses in NID to get more packages, will you just listen to me and go ahead with it? If yes, then you have got no passion for a particular design rather than earning money. If that is the case, then stop doing it. Have a vision where do you want to be and as a what. You will earn money for sure after graduating from colleges, like NID or IIT that would take some time along with the level of industry experience you have.
