NIELIT Shimla application process is conducted online on the institute's official website. For most courses, the institute accepts application throughout the year. However, when a candidate applies determines the cycle in which they will appear for the NIELIT exam. The exam is conducted in two cycle, i.e. January and July. The last date to apply for the January session typically falls in October of the previous year. The last date to apply for the July session is expected to fall in March/April.

Yes, NIELIT Shimla offers a part-time PG Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) among its Non-Formal Courses. The duration of the PG-level course is one year, which is further divided into two semesters. Further, the institute is also authorised to conduct the PGDCA course of MCRP, Bhopal. It is offered as a Formal Course. Candidates who have completed their Graduation can apply for these courses.
