If you are studying in the 1st year of engineering course and want to change the branch after completing 1st year of engineering i.e in the 2nd year, then you can change the branch in 2nd year. if your CGPA in the first year is minimum 8.5 or above, and if there is no backlog in any paper of 1st year.

Both the colleges are good but COEP have more facilities and like highly equipped laboratories, different clubs like satellite club, robotics club, cultural clubs, etc. Also, COEP being located in Pune city you have good job opportunities in Pune itself.

3. After IIT's SGGSIE&T is the only institute with 50+ Ph.d scholars.
4. SGGSIE&T is one of the only three institutes in Maharashtra to be selected as a Centre of Excellence by the Govt. of India.
5. Many of the labs are open for students 24/7.
6. Open Wi-Fi network available for students 24/7 (Can't be better for a CSE student).
