SITEEE Pattern

For the SITEEE exam, it is significant to cover the entire syllabus. Moreover, the SITEEE exam is designed to test your knowledge across all the topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Physics: Mechanics, Newton's laws of motion, work-energy theorem, impulse and momentum, rotational dynamics, electricity and magnetism, Optics, Waves, etc.

Chemistry: Organic Chemistry like hydrocarbons, alcohols, phenols, aldehydes and ketones, carboxylic acids, amines, etc. Inorganic Chemistry like periodic table, chemical bonding, coordination compounds, p-block elements, metallurgy, etc. Physical Chemistry like thermodynamics, chemical equilibrium, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, etc.

Mathematics: Calculus like limits and continuity, derivatives, applications of derivatives, integration, applications of integration, etc. Algebra includes complex numbers, quadratic equations, inequalities, sequence and series, permutations and combinations, binomial theorem, matrices and determinants, etc. Coordinate Geometry like straight lines, circles, conic sections, etc. 

It is also important to have a good understanding of all the topics, as the exam can include unexpected questions sometimes. Overall, it is recommended to follow a structured study plan that covers the entire syllabus while also giving adequate attention to important and challenging topics. Further, it can be beneficial to practice past papers and mock exams to get a better idea of the types of questions that are asked in the examination.

Chemistry: Physical Chemistry (Mole Concept, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Thermodynamics Organic Chemistry (Basic Principles, Hydrocarbons, Alcohols, Phenols, Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones, Carboxylic Acids, Amines Inorganic Chemistry (Periodic Table, Chemical Bonding, Coordination Compounds, p-Block Elements, d-Block Elements), etc.

Mathematics: Algebra (Quadratic Equations, Sequences and Series, Permutations and Combinations, Complex Numbers), Calculus (Limits, Continuity and Differentiability, Application of Derivatives, Indefinite and Definite Integrals Differential Equations Coordinate Geometry (Straight Lines, Circles, Parabola, Ellipse, Hyperbola), Vectors and 3D Geometry, Probability., etc.

The SITEEE 2026 exam for Test 1 and 2 will be held tentatively in May 2026. The SITEEE exam comprises 60 questions, and the total marks for the exam are 120. Candidates need to attempt questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. SITEEE is an online entrance exam that is conducted by the Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune. The exam pattern is a major aspect for the candidates to understand before preparing. The SITEEE exam pattern provides a transparent idea about the exam structure and pattern. Through the SITEEE exam pattern, candidates will come to know the duration of the exam, mode, marking scheme, type of questions, and total number of questions asked in the exam. There are three sections in the SITEEE exam: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The duration of the SITEEE examination is 60 minutes, which is one hour. The exam authority will not allow any extra time for any candidate to answer the questions. So, in the allotted time span, the candidate has to complete the exam paper. Also, from the Physics and Chemistry sections, 15 questions will be asked, and from the Mathematics section, 30 questions.
