Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS) accepts entrance exam scores for admission to MA programs. The university also conducts aptitude and practical tests for some programs.
For the academic year 2023-2024, the university conducted the entrance exam in April or May. The following programs were available:
- MA Museology
- MA Comparative Literature and Linguistics
- MA Dance (Bharathanatyam)
- MA Sanskrit General
Other programs include: M.Sc, M.S.W, MFA, MPES, PG Diploma.
Admission to the 2-year Master of Fine Arts Degree Program requires the following:
- A Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from a university recognised by SSU

The Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS) requires a minimum of 40% marks in the PG entrance exam for admission.
For the Ph.D. program, candidates must score 50% or more in the entrance exam. Candidates from the SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/ differently-abled category receive a 5% relaxation.
The SSUS admission process is based on merit. The weightage for the entrance test is 70
The candidates who secure 50% marks or above in the entrance examination alone will be qualified. Relaxation of 5% of marks (from 50% to 45%) shall be allowed for the candidates belonging of SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/ different
