Candidates seeking PhD admission are required to appear for an entrance test conducted by SRM IST. This test is conducted via CBT mode. This test is followed by a presentation and PI round conducted by the related department. SRM Valliammai Engineering College is a good College in comparison to DMI COLLEGE of Engineering but the fee structure of SRM is very high it would be 1.7 Lacs per year but the fees of DMI is INR 70,000 per year. So, SRM is more expensive than DMI in Chennai.
