Both of these institutions form part of the best universities in Canada & are a popular destination among international students looking to pursue higher studies from abroad.

However, both institutions are very selective in choosing between candidates & only prefer individuals with a good track record in past academics as well as other non-academic activities.

The University of Alberta acceptance rate stands at around 58% while that of University of British Columbia stands at 54%. Though both are largely similar, UBC is slightly easier to get into than University of Toronto.

While the standard TOEFL iBT is commonly accepted, not all German universities explicitly accept TOEFL Essentials. It is recommended to check individual university requirements on their official websites to confirm acceptance of this format.

IELTS is not compulsory for all universities in the USA. Many institutions have alternative requirements or allow students to demonstrate their English proficiency through different means. Always verify with the specific university regarding their language requirements.
