Majority of unofficial sources claim that Mount Allison University acceptance rate is 85%. Whereas, a few others claim that the acceptance rate of the university is 66%. It can be said that the acceptance rate of the university is between 66% - 85%. This means that the university is moderately selective. So, to take admission to the university, the applicants must meet all the entry and application requirements. The general requirement is to have high school qualification for admission to UG courses. For admission to PG courses, the applicants should have a bachelor's degree.

All entering first-year students who have a calculated admission average of 80% and above will automatically be considered for entrance scholarships. Employment opportunities at Mount Allison University include on and off-campus jobs, paid internships, and paid research opportunities. During regular term, students can work up to 20 hours per week.
