Almost all UG programs at the University of Cambridge start in the month of October, however there may be some limited flexibility in the PG programs available here. But for Indian students, the October start date is strict. 

The students are always required to start the University of Cambridge applications via the UCAS by 15th of October of the previous year

No, while the University of Cambridge and Harvard University are two of the most well-known universities in the world, one is not equal to the other. Look at the inferences made below - 

  • As per US News,  Harvard is ranked #1 in the global universities category and the University of Cambridge is at #5 in the same category
  • Harvard USA is ranked better than Cambridge UK
  • If an Indian student is looking for admission at the best, they should probably go for the first one

No, it can not be considered easy to get into the MA programme by the University of Cambridge. The University of Cambridge acceptance rate of 37.9%, which means it is competitive to get in. 

The applicants cannot expect admission if they are average academically.  Additionally, these students would have to do really well in language exams to get in, the students have to - 

  • Submit proof of extracurricular activities
  • Strong research abilities

Getting into the University of Cambridge can be considered tough and the students are required to have a first class bachelor's degree along with English language proficiency. 

Given below are the other admission requirements for MA at the University of Cambridge

  • A UG degree with 65% to 70%
  • An awesome score in the English language proficiency exam
  • An application made via the application portal
  • Strong CV, LORs and research proposal

Yes, just like the other UK universities, too, the University of Cambridge offers MA courses.

These courses are generally pursued by the holders of a BA degree and the applicants are required to meet the Cambridge University admisison requirements.

The first year tuition fee for the same programme is INR 45 L (it does not include other important factors like housing and transportation).

The University of Cambridge does give a lot of importance to conducting interviews for the shortlisted candidates.

However, not all of them interviwed but a vast majority is. Given below is the Cambridge University criteria for selecting Interviewees - 

  • Strong Academic records
  • Pre-interview assessments
  • Submission of high-quality written work  
  • A proof of the candidates' passion for the chosen course or subject

Both Cambridge and Oxford are among best Engineering schools globally. Cambridge ranks #1 among all Engineering schools in UK, while Oxford ranks #3 in UK. 

In tuition fees, Cambridge Engineering costs more with tuition fees of around GBP 41,124 (INR 50.66 L), while Oxford Engineering fee is GBP 62,820 (INR 77.40 L) for UG.

International students who have completed their 12 from a board that the university considers with an advanced test like IIT JEE or STEP are allowed in the university. Students should also appear for ACT/ SAT test and submit English language requirements to get UG admission.
