There are various scholarships available for international applicants at Sacred Heart University such as the President's Excellence Award, which awards a scholarship of up to 50 percent of tuition and other awards like the Trustee Scholarship. Most of these scholarships have eligibility criteria as based on academic performance, involvement in extracurricular activities, and achievements beyond academics. Scholarships under consideration during the admission process automatically include most international students; there is normally no separate application. Most usually, such scholarships do not cover the total cost of tuition; hence, alternative sources of funding might be required.

With an acceptance rate of 96%, admission to UMHB is relatively easy. However, there are certain requirements that students must take into consideration to increase their chances of admission to the university. To begin with, international students are highly recommended by the university to apply for admission to the university two months prior to the commencement of lectures at the university. Secondly, students are also required to select a programme of their choice when applying for admission to the university. The University of Mary Hardin Baylor does not require the submission of documents such as Letters of Recommendation, Personal Statements, Secondary Education Reports, etc. However, the university does require students to submit their official transcripts, a copy of their passport, English Language proficiency test scores accepted by the university, a letter of support, and an application fee of USD 75 (INR 6,353).
