The University of Kansas acceptance rate is 88% and the Kansas State University acceptance rate is 95%. There is a slight difference in the acceptance rate of both universities. However, it concludes that Kansas State University is more lenient and easy to get into as compared to others.
Both universities are reputed and renowned for their academic programs. But, as per the national ranking 2024, the University of Kansas (#151) is better than Kansas State University (#170). Also, as per Shiksha grading, the overall university grade is A for the University of Kansas whereas, Kansas State University got a B+ overall grading.

Kansas State University offers 250 undergraduate programs and over 165 graduate programs. The university has more than 65 academic departments including Agriculture; Architecture; Planning and Design; Arts and Science; Technology and Aviation; Health and Human Sciences; and Veterinary Medicine. No, the GRE is not required at the Kansas State University. However, the university recommends students submit a GRE score to increase the chances of selection. The university does not count GRE scores as a priority factor during admission but if a student has an excellent GRE score, it creates a positive impact in the resume. The K-State admission team prioritizes factors, such as high school grades, standardized test scores, English language test scores, essays, and reference letters.

Kansas State University expects a cumulative GPA of 3.5 from UG applicants and 3 from PG applicants on the 4-pointer scale. Along with GPA, the university gives precedence to high school grades, standardized test scores, English language test scores, essays, and reference letters. In addition, students must aim to score 21 or higher on the ACT and 1060 or higher on the SAT to improve their probability of selection.

After fulfilling the eligibility for undergraduate and graduate programs, students must fill out the required personal details and submit the documents, such as transcripts, test scores, English language proficiency scores, affidavit of financial proof, and more. After completing the application, students must pay USD 80 (INR 6.7K) for the UG programme and USD 75 (INR 6.2K) for the PG programme as an application fee at K-State. Interntiona applicants do not require GMAT score to get admission to the University of New Haven MBA program. They must submit academic records, personal details, SOP, etc. to complete the application. Below are the admission criteria to get admission to MBA program at the university:
- Provide proof of bachelor’s degree completion
- An undergraduate grade point average of 3.3 or higher on a scale of 4.0
- Two letters of recommendation from your professors or employers
- A Statement of Purpose is required
- A resume is required
