According to some of the reviews on an unofficial source, listed below reasons could be why Northeastern University is becoming competitive:
- Competition: Top universities that attract the top students are becoming more selective. So, the top students who do not make it to the top-ranked universities are moved to Tier 2 schools or universities, and so on. Therefore, because of the competition, many top applicants are turned down from their choice of schools and are forced to join a less prestigious university. This explains a large number of applicants are applying to Northeastern University and why the acceptance rate of the university
