If you want to prepare for GATE then start studying your 1st year and second year electrical engineering course from now. Also focus more networks engineering and control system questions. These chapters carry more weight age in GATE. Just be thorough with your syllabus of 2nd year and 3 year. Also try to solve previous year question papers. You will get an idea about the questions being asked and look for questions which from 2nd year syllabus. You should obviously go for NIT Warangal because NIT Warangal has undoubtedly better placement record as well as 2nd rank amongst the all NIT ranking and have good labs and infrastructure also a very good faculty. hey also invite most of the known MNCs and you could get a fair atmosphere of competition and education atmosphere there.
