A score of 287 in NEET in the OBC category means it would not be easy to get an MBBS seat in a private medical college in Chennai, as cutoffs over the years have been higher. For example, in Tamil Nadu state quota counseling for self-financing medical colleges, cutoffs for OBCs have remained over 400 marks. But some deemed universities and private colleges might have a lower cutoff, particularly in terms of management or NRI quotas. It's best to investigate individual colleges' cutoff requirements and look into other medical courses or states with varying cutoff patterns.

The NEET 2023 cutoff score for BCM (Backward Class Muslim) applicants at Tamil Nadu government medical colleges was 504 which translates to an All India Rank (AIR) of 80,758 according to the most recent data available.
Although precise numbers for 2024 admissions have not yet been released, patterns point to a potential rise in cutoff scores as a result of increased competition. To increase their chances of getting a spot BCM applicants hoping to enroll in Tamil Nadu's government medical schools should aim for a NEET score higher than 510.

You are qualified for the Phase 4 counseling at the VIT Vellore and VIT Chennai campuses if your VITEEE rank is 80600. You can take into consideration the following branches which have had a higher closing ranks in prior years even though leading branches like the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) normally close at ranks below 20000
Civil Engineering
Engineering Mechanically
Engineering of Chemicals
Engineering for Production and Industry
Biotechnology
These branches are good choices for your rank because their closing ranks frequently exceed 50,000.

Crescent School of Architecture is one of the best institutes for architecture in chennai. This institute offers a four-year full-time undergraduate course in B. Des and B.Arch and M.Arch. The institute has a good infrastructure and on-campus-facilities. The faculty members are well qualified and cooperative. The only down side of this institute is the placements as the institute does not offer placement facility, but due the good reputation of this institute, students don't find much difficulty in getting a job by themselves. So, on an overall basis, this institute is a average or decent institute for architecture studies.
