The Madurai Kamaraj University, Directorate of Distance Education like many Universities have got mixed reviews fron the students studying there. Although the institute is ranked 94th among universities in India. It a accredited with 'A' rating in NAAC. The students have enjoyed a low fee structure and wider resources for study through website and on-campus facilities. Some students have pointed out the unsatisfactory semester exam procedure.
