NET (National Eligibility Test) is an entrance exam through which candidates are awarded for Junior Research Fellowship and selected for the post of Assistant Professor. The National Eligibility Test was conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education till UGC NET July 2018 Exam but from 2019 onward, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NET Exam. Online Application Form can be filled: 1 September to 30 September 2018
Online UGC NET Exam Date: 2 December to 16 December 2018
Result: Last week of January 2019.

Yes, you are eligible for UGC NET exam if you have done post-graduation in comparative literature. But make sure you can fulfill other requirements of the exam eligibility. If you belong to General category then you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters or 50% aggregate marks if you are from SC/ST/PwD/OBC category. You have to fulfill age criteria also I. e. your age must not more than 30 years (for General Male candidates). SC/ST/PwD/OBC/Women candidates get 5 year's age relaxation.
