Salaries of the recently recruited Assistant Professor working in Pharmacy colleges of India widely range according to variables such as the type of the institution (government, independent) qualifications (Ph.D., UGC NET) and location, among others. Broadly, this is INR 57,700 as per the 7 th Pay Commission which is the entry pay of UGC Commission approved Assistant Professors. In a private college, the package is usually between INR 2.5 LPA and INR 3.5 LPA, and government establishments offer a better package, which may go even beyond INR 7.5 LPA, in case one of the qualifications is a UGC NET or Ph.D.
