State government-run schools usually consider scores of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the respective states. However, some schools also accept CTET scores in case the state government decides not to conduct their own TET.

You should keep appearing for the CTET exam till the time you crack it. There is no cap on the number of attempts. That is there is no fixed limit on the number of attempts in the CTET examination. Candidates can appear for the CTET exam for any number of times till they obtain the desired scores.

The exam conducting body, Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE fixes the CTET selection process. The CTET is a national-level eligibility exam conducted by the CBSE to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of teacher of Classes 1 to 8. Hence, the selection criteria is only to obtain the minimum qualifying marks.
