As per the current norms prescribed by NCTE. You must have minimum 50% in your graduate degree from any recognized Indian University. In case of reserved quota the eligibility criteria is 45% minimum.
To get admission in B ED general category candidate must have 45% in graduation ( B A/B SC/ B COM) or 45% in post graduation ( M A/ M SC/ M COM) and SC/ST candidate must have 45% in graduation or in post graduation. TSTET examination centres are allotted by the preferences made by the candidate while filling out the form. It is conducted across 7 different cities with 29 different subjects. TS SET exam consists of MCQ type questions & 2 Sets of paper, paper-I contains General teaching & Aptitude whereas Paper-II consists of the topic which candidates have completed in their PG level. Candidates will be able to check their examination centre through the TSTET Admit Card 2023.

The TSTET exam is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana. TSTET is taken to determine the eligibility of recruiting primary teachers in Telangana government, Zila Parishad, aided, unaided, and private schools. TSTET is taken in two levels which are level 1 and level 2. The aspirants qualifying for the level 1 exam are recruited as primary teachers (classes 1-5) and the candidates qualifying for the level 2 exam are recruited as upper primary teachers (classes 6-8) in the private or government schools of Telangana.
