The University of Edinburgh offers one of the best Computer Science programs to international students. The is taught by excellent faculty through a combination of lectures, tutorials, practical classes. The programme helps students to work on projects that build their understanding in building computer systems from scratch, developing system, doing experimental work, working on projects with supervisor guidance. Students must definitely take admission to Computer Science curriculum as it opens a door in big companies.

The University of Edinburgh provides free health and wellbeing services throughout a student's time period at the university. Students can access this service whenever they need them. The Advice Place is the free advice centre run by the Edinburgh University Students Association (EUSA). 

The university also operates support services for students which includes: 

  • a student counselling service 

  • a health center (doctor's surgery) 

  • support if a student is living in university accommodation 

  • dedicated help and support if any student have a disability or need adjustment

University of Edinburgh is known as one of the safest universities in the world as Edinburgh is a safe city with a low crime rate. Though the university keeps efforts in making the university even more safe, but it is also the duty of the students to pay attention to their personal safety. 

For emergency services, students can call on 999 for police, fire brigade, and ambulance.

The University of Edinburgh does not offer placements as part of the Animation degree as the Creative industry placements are unfortunately impossible to guarantee, due to the rapid turnaround and short notice of availability. However, the university provides opportunities for summer placements in commercial animation studios. The university makes efforts to alert students about job opportunities through the career service and support the students in every way while they are on their placements and internships.
