Yes, a conditional or unconditional admission offer is mandatory to be eligible for financial support at UoE.  Also maintain great scores in studies, and not be getting financial help from anywhere else. For master's courses, most scholarships also ask for prior work experience. A portfolio of your certifications and achievements is also needed.

No, JK Rowling did not study at UoE. She pursued a teacher training course at the Moray House before it joined UoE.  In 2004, she receieved an honorary doctorate from the university. Her main studies include a UG degree in French and Classics from the University of Exeter
