Hi,
Under normal circumstances, you cannot. The application forms for TNEA are issues after 12th results and so are the counselling based on merit.

No, it is not an entrance exam.
It is a procedure for admission in Tamil Nadu engineering colleges only for Tamil Nadu studied students or native of Tamil Nadu students who have done one of the class i.e. Viii, ix, x & xii outside of the state Tamil Nadu.

The authorities concerned will announce the list of participating institutes of TNEA 2018 for candidates who are aspiring to take admission in the undergraduate engineering programmes but VIT university does not come under the participating institute of TNEA so it is not possible. Hello Sujana,
Yes, you can appear for TNEA. As you have completed your HSC from other state, you may have to apply under other state quota. You can get admission based on your board exam marks and there is no entrance exam.

Yes, you are eligible for TNEA. There is a separate admission process for other state students through which you can apply. There is no entrance exam and so you can get admission with your board exam marks.
