The TNTET is a state-level examination which is conducted every year to know about the eligibility of candidates for teaching posts from classes 1 to 8. Those candidates who will clear the paper will be given job in the government schools as a primary and upper primary school teachers.

One doesn't necessarily require private coaching to crack TNTET, as one could well be prepared for this test if done in the proper way. First, a thorough knowledge of the examination pattern and syllabus that comprises the subjects like Child Development and Pedagogy, Language, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies must be taken up.

One must start preparing for the TNTET at least 6 to 8 months prior to the date of the examination. It will give a lot of time to study the whole syllabus, practice the previous years' papers, and give mock tests. First of all, get an idea about the exam pattern and the marking scheme. Focus on core subjects including Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and II, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and other important topics. Continuous study and revision along with proper time management are vital. Start with a strong foundation and then gradually take up advanced topics and practice them sufficiently to build confidence.
