It depends on your target score. For 4.5+, free ETS materials + online resources are often enough. For 5+ band scores, paid books give better results because of quality questions and expert tips. Many toppers use both together. Start with free, then add paid if needed.

Yes, it is possible if your basic English is good. You don't need months if you focus only on understanding the TOEFL exam format. Just follow the 7 day study plan honestly and you can get a decent score.

The TOEFL iBT test at Home is the same as TOEFL iBT as test centre. The whole content, format, on-screen experience and scoring are same. The TOEFL score acceptance for both the test types are same and even the fees are same. So, candidates can decide by themselves which TOEFL test types they are comfortable with, what are the availabilty and then choose it wisely.

Yes. This TOEFL study plan is good for beginners and also for students who already know English. If you are advanced, you can do it faster. If not, just follow step by step.

No worries. It is normal to miss 1–2 days while TOEFL exam prepration. You can adjust the plan and keep going. Just don't skip the TOEFL practice tests in the last 2 weeks.

Yes, you don't really need coaching. This 8 week TOEFL prep plan is easy to follow at home. If you feel stuck in speaking or writing, maybe take help from YouTube or online tutor.

You can study 1 to 2 hours on weekdays. On weekends, try to do 3–4 hours if possible. But no need to study whole day. Just be regular and serious.

Usually, the Official Guide by ETS and Kaplan TOEFL Prep have the best reviews online. Students like them because they are clear, updated, and close to the real test.

One can check the TOEFL prepration books, which is best for practice:

  • Barron's TOEFL iBT has around 7 full tests
  • Kaplan and the Official Guide have around 4 practice tests each
