The distance is most important things one should check for TOEFL test centres. Read recent reviews on Reddit or forums. Ask about computer quality and AC. Choose morning slots if possible. Book early in peak months to get a good one.

When picking a TOEFL test centre and date, you should think about comfort and timing. Also a bit of planning helps. Choose a centre that is near your home. So you don't get late or stressed on exam day. Long travel can make you tired even before the test starts. Check some reviews if possible. Some centres are good, some not really. Computers, seating, noise level all these things matter a lot.

Bring a valid original ID, like your passport. Your name on the ID must match with the name in your TOEFL registration. No photocopies or expired ID accepted.

You should reach the TOEFL test centre at least 30 minutes early. If you come late, you may not be allowed to take the TOEFL test.

Candidates should first check the availability of test centres in their location. If test centres are not operational or you are more comfortable testing from home, you may opt for the TOEFL iBT Home Edition. Candidates juts have to make sure they have the system that meets ETS TOEFL requirements and your environment is secure for test monitoring.

You cannot take anything inside the exam hall except your ID proof (Passport). No phones, watches, or even your own pen or paper. They will give you scratch paper and pencil inside. Even water bottles are often kept outside.

In most cases, TOEFL test takers who arrive late to their designated TOEFL test centre will be barred from taking the TOEFL test. Aim to arrive at least 30 minutes before the test start time for registration and security checks. If unavoidable delays occur, immediately inform the test center staff upon arrival. They will assess the situation and determine if late entry is possible, which might involve missing initial instructions or sections.
